- The profile is the aluminium structure of the frame. The range determines its slimness, its insulation and its price.
- Thermal break
- An insulating strip between the two faces of the profile stops cold and heat passing through the metal.
- Inertia
- The stiffness of the profile against bending: the higher it is, the better a large opening holds without deforming.
